Subaru Rally Team USA (SRT USA)
Team coverage in Drive Performance Version 7.2 ended at Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally, with only the New England Forest Rally remaining in the six-event 2010 Rally America National Championship. Travis Pastrana returned to race at New England after missing the previous two. He dominated the event and had more than a three-minute lead over the rest of the field when his engine failed with less than 15 miles to go. Dave Mirra missed New England because he was training for BMX Freestyle competition at X Games 16.
Both SRT USA drivers were invited to X Games 16 Rally – Rally Car Racing and SuperRally. Tweaking the cars for higher performance demanded more time than the team had allowed, and all three of its rally cars (the third one for FIA European Rallycross Champion Sverre Isachsen) were forced to retire early. (Find more about X Games 16 Rally here.)
The team had greater success in the RallyCar Rallycross events at New Jersey Motorsports Park near Millville. On the Lightning Course in the first round at the end of August, Pastrana placed 2nd and Mirra 3rd. In the second round at the beginning of October, Mirra place 2nd. Pastrana suffered engine failure when mud blocked the radiator.
