Nick intends to kick off his 2012 racing season at the Mt. Ascutney Hillclimb in Windsor, Vermont, in May, and he expects his loyal supporters – his dogs, Abbey and Kasey – to be in attendance.
Nick Wheelock’s advice to those interested in getting started: “Go to a hillclimb, work the event, and get to know people.”
Wheelock revealed that he has learned much from the hillclimb community and that the attendees are willing to answer questions and help newcomers get started. “Everybody will do whatever they can to help you get into the sport,” he said.
He added: “Start with something you can afford to write off.”
